The China Clay Country Park, Wheal Martyn, is set to introduce a new range of Winter Meal Deals in the café over October.

Starting on the 6th of October, a two-course meal, based on family favorites like Stake & Ale Pie and Treacle Pudding, or Gammon Steak with Egg and Spotted Dick, will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Wheal Martyn Cafe for only £5.50 for both courses – people over 55 will also get an extra 10% discount.

Roger Preston, the Chair of the Trustees at Wheal Martyn, said: “As we all begin to feel the winter chill in the air we wanted to put some of the family’s favorites on the menu at great prices and provide an affordable option for people over 55.”

The “Winter Meal Deal” menus will change each week and for the first week Wheal Martyn will be offering Battered Cod with Chips and Peas, or Stake & Ale Pie or Sausage Mash with Onion Gravy all served with seasonal vegetables and either Treacle Pudding, Jam Pudding, Spotted Dick or Rhubarb Crumble all with custard or ice cream for desert.
